  • Stanhope Park in Holsworthy (David Wilson Partnerships)

The site had to be completely redeveloped as the old equipment was becoming unusable. Holsworthy town council took much consideration with this project and wanted to involve the local community. With this in mind the town council completed several rounds of public consultations before it was decided to bring in David Wilson Partnership who are experts in public consultation and landscape architecture. The town council and Pete Lever of the David Wilson quickly began to understand what was needed from several consultation meetings with the local residence. It was clear that the area needed to be a place that could be used all year round. It would also need to be challenging and exciting for all users and ages. Once the consultation process was complete the town council went out to tender. This is where the hard work for TK Play began, We carefully went through the brief and tender documents and started the process of thinking about what equipment and play features we could incorporate. As we do with all quotations for play parks we completed a rigorous site survey to determine the dimensions and levels, We also started thinking about the best items of play equipment and where on the site they should be positioned. After the site survey we went away to put together a detailed quotation and 3D design of the play park. Once the design and quotation was complete we TK play and 5 other play companies where considered and three of the six companies where asked to present our proposals to the town council and the local youth club. The town council , youth club and Pete Lever then had the really hard task of going through the 3 designs. After great consideration it was decided that TK Play Ltd where by far the best play equipment company to complete the work. Our design clearly had more play value and more interesting play features. As you will see from the design below there are so many different types of play from sliding, bouncing, swinging, climbing, hangout areas, Our design is usable all year round and all ages are catered for. The Play project is now complete and was officially opened on the 21st of December 2013. (it was a great day with over 200 people from the town attending) Please have a look at the project images showing from the start of the site to completion. If you want any more information then don't hesitate to contact TK Play we will be happy to help. Please see the coverage in The Holsworthy Post. Regards the TK Play team

  • Farnborough, Queensgate for Vantage Homes

TK Play has recently enjoyed working alongside Vantage Homes and Landscape architects to create a Natural play area in Farnborough, Queensgate.   The play story starts with some unique wooden Climbing posts flowing into a granite boulder seating circle.   The adventure continues when you travel up the Safety Surfaced stream to the balance beams which are set into mounds to add a more exciting feature and then on to the chunky stepping posts and the raised performance stage seating area.   If you then continue across more chunky stepping posts to the final pot of gold boulder, we have also created a lovely tree seat with arm rests and a separate L shaped planting box built from Red Cedar wood.   Our Safety Surface features throughout the play area creating an area that can be used all year round.
