Our Process

Project Consultation
We recommend a consultation process involving all of the playground users. During this consultation we ascertain the style of equipment that appeals to you—for example: Bouncing, Swinging, Sliding, Climbing and Rocking. Inclusivity issues, DDA requirements and age group provision are also discussed at this point. This involves various meetings and discussions, resulting in site surveys, plans and presentations specifically designed for you as the individual customer.

Site Survey
For projects that need it, we visit the site to assess access, ground conditions, safety zones, existing equipment, and coordinate with other contractors if needed. We CAT scan all areas prior to excavations and assess any challenges like sloped ground, drainage, or difficult access. We only schedule surveys when necessary — not for every enquiry.

Design & Concept
We provide 2D layout plans as a minimum to accompany every quote, showing equipment placement, fall zones, and surfacing. For larger or more complex projects, we can provide CAD drawings and explore ideas using 3D software for detailed visualisations. These concepts are tailored to your space and budget—visual, practical, and designed with your users in mind, whether they're toddlers, teenagers, or everyone in between.

Quotation & Planning
Once you're happy with the design, we provide a detailed quotation covering everything from equipment to installation, surfacing, and aftercare. We conduct a pre-site meeting to clarify the quotation, handle planning permissions if needed, and keep you informed every step of the way.

Installation
We have over 30 years' experience of installing play equipment with examples of our work throughout the South West and across the UK. We have developed a highly skilled installation team who complete all works from groundworks through to final surfacing. We don't just focus on the brand new 'wow'—we build proper foundations: stone bases with geotextile liners for surfacing, correct concrete depths for equipment, and drainage solutions based on ground conditions. All projects are risk assessed with method statements produced. We provide weekly progress updates with photographic documentation, work during standard hours (07:30-17:00, Monday-Friday) to minimize disruption, and the site is tidied and checked daily.

Maintenance & Aftercare
We recommend you allow a budget for future maintenance to elongate the life span of the equipment. We can arrange an inspection and maintenance package to suit your needs. We also offer an inspection service for items above 2 meters—not normally covered in your Annual Inspection or Post Installation Inspection. We maintain and refurbish existing play spaces for several large District and Town councils and schools. Being just 1-2 hours from most South West sites, we respond quickly to maintenance needs.
